Minneapolis Wedding Planner & Florist
The Petal is a full-service wedding design house for Minneapolis. We are planners, event designers, and floral artists on one team — which is exactly what the city's great rooms deserve. A Mill City ceremony, a ballroom at the Saint Paul Hotel, an industrial loft in the North Loop: each asks for a different answer, and because planning, design, and florals are conceptualized together here, the answer arrives as one cohesive day rather than three vendors' versions of it. Book the whole experience, or just the piece you need — planning only, or florals only.
A Minnesota Bride Best of honoree and four-time Best of Weddings winner on The Knot, where couples rate us 4.9 out of 5.
One team from concept to teardown
Florals. Garden-style and custom to your story — bouquets, ceremony arches, hanging installations, and centerpieces designed for the room they'll live in, not a catalogue.
Event design. Floor plans, rentals, linens, candlelight, and lighting — the intentional details guests feel the moment they walk in, composed as one picture.
Full-service planning. Timelines, vendor curation, and event-day troubleshooting carried by a team that has truly seen it all, so the only thing on your schedule is getting married.
Full-service weddings begin at $10,000, planning at $5,000, and à la carte florals start at $225 with no minimum — couples with a planner already in place are always welcome for florals alone.
We know Minneapolis venues the way you only can from installing in them: Mill City Museum, the American Swedish Institute, the Lumber Exchange, Nicollet Island Pavilion, the Van Dusen Mansion, and the Saint Paul Hotel across the river.
Kind words
"She hand delivered personals the day of my wedding (such a personal touch) and upon seeing my bouquet my eyes filled with tears!"
— Melissa S., The Knot
"I told her I wanted Mediterranean inspired bouquets/arrangements using lots of olive branches + cream/white flowers and she nailed it!"
— Sarah G., The Knot
"She added lemons to the rectangular vases to add a splash of color - it was so creative, and we got tons of compliments on it."
— Lindsay M., The Knot
What working together looks like
First, a conversation. Bring a Pinterest board, a color, a feeling — or nothing at all. Some of our favorite weddings started with "I have no idea what I want."
Then, the design. A detailed proposal and style board show you the wedding before you commit to it, and it evolves with you as the vision sharpens.
Finally, the day. We install, style, and coordinate on site, hand the personals to your wedding party, and handle teardown — you stay at the party.
